LinkedIn Outreach Guide

From Webwalker Knowledge Base

You can use LinkedIn for marketing, recruitment, sales, or even to find investors or jobs. Webwalker App will help you to automate this and make it more efficient.

This guide will provide information on how to perform LinkedIn outreach - getting customers, or doing recruitment, etc.

Get and Setup LinkedIn Account

If you don't have a LinkedIn account yet, check LinkedIn New Account Guide to learn how to get a LinkedIn account and the first steps you should make after getting one.

Setup Campaigns for LinkedIn Outreach

You can check our Beginner's Guide to see how to start using Webwalker to perform outreach on LinkedIn.

If you need to know more details on how to do LinkedIn outreach itself and what it is, continue with this guide.

LinkedIn outreach means finding and reaching out to people on LinkedIn. You use it to find who might be interested in your products and services, or your job postings (if you're a recruiter), etc and then contacting them with your offer.

The whole process can be broken down to a few steps:

Step 1 - Identify and define your target audience

That is something you would need to do yourself. Try to analyze what your product\service\goal is and who are you trying to attract.

Once you have one or a few campaigns in Webwalker app, the app can help you by providing relevant suggestions so you could find more people like the ones you've previously outreached.

Step 2 - Use LinkedIn Search or Sales Navigator

You can Search on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator to find people on LinkedIn. Try to set up the filters there to match your target audience as close as possible.

You might want to add some variations - a few variations of your search - to get more contacts and to later analyze what works better.

Once you have done your search on LinkedIn, copy the URL and import it in the Webwalker app at LinkedIn -> Searches page in the app.

Step 3 - Invite them to connect on LinkedIn

Once you have your LinkedIn search results loaded in Webwalker, you can setup LinkedIn Workflow to auto-invite them to connect.

You can set up a schedule to make sure it's only sending the invites during your work hours and not exceeding any limits, and additional steps to be executed after invitation gets accepted or before sending invitation. E.g. you can like their recent posts and visit profile page first, this way your outreach will look more natural and have a bit higher acceptance rate.

Step 4 - Message them on LinkedIn

You can message contacts on LinkedIn in your invitation message or after they accept your invitation. Keep in mind that if you do not have LinkedIn Premium, the invitation message will be very limited (it only allows a few invitations with message per month and the message should be very short), so if you don't want to get LinkedIn Premium, you would need to send your message in a separate step after connection.

After new contacts accepted your invitation, you can send them messages without limitations. You can either message them manually or add more steps into your LinkedIn Workflow to send a message sequence (or execute other actions, such as inviting them to follow your company page, etc), stopping it once they reply.

Step 5 - Check and respond to replies for your LinkedIn campaign

Once someone replies to your message, you can start discussing with them your product\service\job\etc - that's where the outreach ends and sales or recruitment starts.

If you need more information or help with setting up your outreach and workflows, you can always contact our support via chat widget in the app and we will be happy to help you.
